JUST ONE THING THAT WILL HELP YOU LIKE YOURSELF IN A PHOTOGRAPH
Knowledge is power! In this case, I would like to draw your attention to one fact that some people know, others don’t. It partially refers to people's "favorite excuse" for not having their photo taken: "I'm not photogenic." As I wrote, there are no unphotogenic people. There is only a fact that every person has a “right and left side of the body,” which for most are significantly different. ANY person has one eye larger than the other, one eyebrow higher than the other, the shape of the lips on the right and left is rarely the same, even legs have different lengths. In general, complete symmetry does not exist. When we take pictures, we usually turn our heads slightly one side or the other towards the camera - and……. Sometimes we love our photos, sometimes we don’t at all. One of the main reasons is that everyone has their own “good” and “bad” sides of the face.
The point, of course, is not that “on one hand I’m ugly, but on the other I’m not,” it’s just that each of us likes more the ratio of the parts of the face and the shape of one of its sides. There are very, very rare exceptions where both sides of the face are identical and the model looks approximately the same on both sides. It also happens that the photographer considers one side of the face to most accurately convey what that person looks like, but the client is more impressed by the other side! Actors almost always know which side is “good” and which is “bad.” Using the example here, Tom Hanks demonstrates his “good and bad” sides of his face (“working and non-working”). There at the show, he laughed with one actress, who said that she also had a “good” right side of her face and that he would not be able to act in one scene with her, because they would be turned to the viewer with both right sides and could not film the dialogues))) I’m glad for those who already know their “good” (for him/her!) side. For those who don’t know, I recommend taking a couple of selfies on your phone from both sides to see which side impresses you more. Don't forget that the light should be even, flooded, without shadows!!! (see previous post!)))
This advice is valid for shooting in flat/daylight. When shooting in a studio with “dramatic” light, with a lot of shadows, completely different rules apply, and the side of the face is not at all important.
And another interesting fact: according to statistics, for almost 70% of people the left is a “good” side!
I hope that the creative search for your favorite side of the face will bring fun emotions and some good photos, and you will love all your photos in the future!

ВСЕГО ОДНА ВЕЩЬ, КОТОРАЯ ПОМОЖЕТ ВАМ НРАВИТЬСЯ СЕБЕ НА ФОТОГРАФИИ
Знание - сила! В данном случае, хочу обратить ваше внимание на один факт, который кому-то известен, кому-то нет. Он частично относится к «любимой отговорке» людей, чтобы не фотографироваться: «я не фотогенична/фотогеничен». Как я писала, нефотогеничных людей нет. Есть лишь факт, что у любого человека есть «правая и левая сторона тела», которые у большинства значительно отличаются. У ЛЮБОГО человека один глаз больше другого, одна бровь выше другой, форма губ справа и слева редко одинакова, даже ноги бывают одна короче другой. В общем, полной симметрии не бывает. Когда мы фотографируемся, то обычно чуть поворачиваем голову одной или другой стороной к камере - и ……. иногда любим свои фотографии, иногда совсем нет. Одна из основных причин - у каждого есть своя «хорошая» и «плохая» стороны лица.
Дело, конечно же, не в том, что «с одной стороны я страшная, а с другой нет», просто нам, каждому, совершенно индивидуально нравится больше соотношение частей лица и форма какой-то одной из его сторон. Очень-очень редко бывают исключения, когда обе стороны лица идентичны, и модель с обеих сторон выглядит приблизительно одинаково. Также бывает, что фотограф считает одну сторону лица наиболее точно передающей, как этот человек выглядит, а клиенту больше импонирует его другая сторона! Актеры практически всегда знают, какая сторона «хорошая», а какая «плохая». На примере здесь Том Хэнкс демонстрирует свои «плохую и хорошую» стороны лица ("рабочую и нерабочую"). Там же на шоу, он посмеялся с одной актрисой, которая сказала, что у нее тоже «хорошая» правая сторона лица, что он бы не смог с ней сниматься в кадре, потому что они были бы развернуты к зрителю оба правой стороной и не смогли бы записывать диалоги))) Рада за тех, кто уже знает свою «хорошую» (для него/для нее!) сторону. Те, кто не знает, рекомендую сделать пару селфи на свой телефон с обеих сторон и посмотреть, какая сторона импонирует больше. Не забываем, что свет должен быть ровным, заливающим, без теней!!! (смотри предыдущий пост!)))
Данный совет действителен для съемок при ровном/дневном свете. При студийной съемке с «драматическим» светом, с большим количеством теней действуют совсем другие правила, и сторона лица совсем не важна.
И еще интересный факт: по статистике, практически у 70% людей «хорошая» сторона - левая!
